Night with the Persecuted Church

night with the persecuted churchWhat would you do if it was illegal to go to church? Or to own a Bible? What would life be like if following Jesus meant you were kicked out of your home, family or community? This is a reality for millions of persecuted Christians around the world.

You are invited to “A Night with the Persecuted Church”, an opportunity to hear stories of how people have sacrificed everything to follow Christ. You’ll be challenged to follow the examples of faith lived by those who follow Jesus no matter the cost, as well as have the opportunity to connect with your persecuted church family through letter writing and prayer.

Date: Wednesday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Location: Argyle Road Baptist Church – 3514 Argyle Road, Regina
Cost: Free, but please RSVP at opendoorsca.org.

Christmas Wish List 2019

christmas wish listRead a story.
Give a gift.
Touch a life.

The Glen Elm Church of Christ is again hosting the Regina Christmas Wish List – an opportunity for  citizens of Regina to express care and compassion during the Christmas season.

The project works like this:

  • Local organizations, working with the impoverished and marginalized of our city, identify individuals and families within their circles, and create concise stories which are posted to the website.
  • Caring citizens read these stories, pledge gifts, and purchase the items they have pledged (new items only), which they then deliver to Glen Elm Church of Christ (1825 Rothwell St., Regina) by 5:00 p.m. on December 19.
  • The gifts are forwarded on to the partnering organizations, who place them in the hands of the clients they identified.
  • Everyone has a merrier Christmas!

To join in, visit Regina Christmas Wish List. All support is greatly appreciated!
