Break Free Outreach Ministries

break free

Break Free Outreach Ministries is a Christ-centred organization whose purpose is to offer the Gospel message through programs and support services that help meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of vulnerable citizens in our community.

Located in the North Central area of Regina, Break Free provides outreach services that will engage, equip, and empower individuals to make lifelong changes resulting in a more satisfied and meaningful life. They reduce barriers, accept individuals where they are at, and support them to move to where they want to be.

Their Drop-In Centre launches January 30, 2023, and their Men’s Coffee Connection, Women’s Coffee Connection, and Break Free Kids’ Club launch later that same week.

There are many ways you can support and/or become involved in this exciting new ministry. Learn more at breakfreeoutreach.ca.

Give a gift.
Touch a life.

The Glen Elm Church of Christ is again facilitating the Regina Christmas Wish List – an opportunity for  citizens of Regina to express care and compassion during the Christmas season.

The project works like this:

  • Local organizations, working with the impoverished and marginalized of our city, identify individuals and families within their circles, and create concise stories which are posted to the website.
  • Caring citizens read these stories, pledge gifts, and purchase the items they have pledged (new items only), which they then deliver to Glen Elm Church of Christ (1825 Rothwell St., Regina) by 4:00 p.m. on December 21.
  • The gifts are forwarded on to the partnering organizations, who place them in the hands of the clients they identified.
  • Everyone has a merrier Christmas!

To join in, visit Regina Christmas Wish List. All support is greatly appreciated!

Good News Chapel is again accepting donations of school supplies and shoes for families in their congregation, as well as for the Muskowekwan School on Muskowekwan First Nation. They will be shopping for whatever school supplies/shoes are not donated, so financial donations are also greatly appreciated. Please keep them in mind over the summer as you see sales on these items, and as you are shopping for supplies for your own children.

Suggested Donations: new shoes, backpacks, markers, pencils, erasers, pens, rulers, calculators, pencil crayons, glue, duo-tangs, notebooks (not spiral), scissors, pencil boxes, pencil sharpeners, tissues, kids tracts, and scripture bookmarks.

Deadline for Donations: Monday, August 29, 2022.

You may donate online by visiting goodnewschapel.ca, or by e-transfer to: schoolsupplies@goodnewschapel.ca. Please indicate your donation is for the School Supplies Project in the comment field.

5-Day Clubs 2022

5-day clubsA Division of Child Evangelism Fellowship

Once again this summer, young people will be sharing the Gospel across Alberta and Saskatchewan through the 5-Day Clubs ministry. For five consecutive days, one hour each day, children gather to hear Bible stories, sing songs, learn Bible verses, and listen to a missionary story as the Gospel is clearly presented. For those unable to attend a 5-Day Club in person, there will also be online sessions available the week of July 18.

Interested in bringing a club to your area? It’s not too late to book one. This program works for churches wanting to host a VBS, too! To learn more about the 5-Day Clubs and hosting one in your area, please visit 5dayclubs.com.

Many of the young adults leading these clubs are post-secondary students who have chosen to give their summer to God to reach boys and girls for Jesus Christ. The Summer Missionary Program helps raise funds for these students so they are able to return to school in the fall.

Since the entire program is offered free of charge, they need our support to keep these clubs running, and to support the Summer Missionaries. Donations may be made online (debit, credit, PayPal, or e-transfer), or by mailing a cheque to:
CEF of Saskatchewan
707 Prairie Ave.
Box 236
Sedley, SK S0G 4K0

Last but not least, please remember to pray for this ministry – for the finances, the Summer Missionaries, the hosts, and every child who will hear the Gospel message through 5-Day Clubs this summer.

Harbour Landing Ministry Opportunity

Some local ministries have come together with a desire to break new ground by reaching out to the community of Harbour Landing. They will be distributing 2,400 “WHY” books on Saturday, November 6 at 1:30 p.m., and they need your help delivering them.

As well, this group wants to reach out to this community with a more permanent ministry. They are in the planning process of planting a new church in the area, with ministry specifically aimed toward new Canadians and new people in Harbour Landing.

They are looking for some help to make both this outreach and new ministry a success. For more information, and if God is speaking to you to get involved, please contact Darcy Rist at darcyharbourlife@gmail.com, or text 306-530-2525.
