Spring Renewal 2019

This year’s event features special guests Stan Helton (Calgary, AB) as the keynote speaker, and Phil Vanderveen (Langley, BC) as worship leader.

On Friday, Stan Helton (president of Alberta Bible College) will present a Leaders’ Workshop: “Living and Leading in Disruptive Times”. Class sessions on Saturday will feature Phil Vanderveen, Cherish Laliberte (Minnedosa, MB) and Harmony McMillan (Regina, SK).

Transformation of the Mind Seminar

Caroline LeafWhat we think about affects us both physically and emotionally. Today, our culture is undergoing an epidemic of toxic thoughts that, left unchecked, create ideal conditions for illnesses. Dr. Caroline Leaf will be explaining more of this in her teaching, “Transformation of the Mind”.

Dr. Leaf is a communication pathologist whose pioneering work on neuroplasticity (the change in thinking that actually changes the brain and can effect behavioural change) paved the way for her current research on how scientific principles are supported by Scripture, and vice versa.

Mental Health in the Church Course

mental health in the churchSpurgeon Root, Director of Outreach Ministry at Healing Hearts Ministries, will lead a 5-week discussion on mental health within the church. Spurgeon also teaches Mental Health First Aid classes in Regina.

This class will look at Bible passages that talk about mental health in specific ways, and then explore a holistic approach to mental health that attempts to balance and understand the interplay of physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual factors in our lives.
