Praise in the Parking Lot

paul balocheLet’s gather together for an evening of encouragement, hope, and praising Jesus, featuring local artists, a pre-recorded video by for KING & COUNTRY, plus Paul Baloche performing live from New York. Paul Baloche’s top-ranked songs include “Open the Eyes of My Heart”, “Hosanna”, “Your Name”, and “Above All”.

How it will work: Gates open at 6:00 p.m. General parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. All cars will be parked 6 feet apart. You can either stay in your vehicle, or bring a chair and sit close to your vehicle with a mask on. Music is through your vehicle’s radio on an FM station.

Let’s gather together to thank Jesus for His blessings on Regina, and pray for revival!

GNC School Supplies Drive 2020

Good News Chapel is again accepting donations of school supplies and shoes for families in their congregation. This year they are also giving to the Muscowpetung Educational Centre on Muscowpetung First Nation. Their goal is to provide for every child in the elementary school – over sixty kids. They will be shopping for whatever school supplies/shoes are not donated, so financial donations are also greatly appreciated. Please keep them in mind over the summer as you see sales on these items.

Suggested Donations: new shoes, backpacks, markers, pencils, erasers, pens, rulers, calculators, pencil crayons, glue, duo-tangs, notebooks (not spiral), scissors, pencil boxes, pencil sharpeners, tissues, kids tracts, and scripture bookmarks.

You may donate online by visiting goodnewschapel.ca. Please indicate your donation is for the School Supplies Project in the comment field.

They meet in the middle of Victoria Park every Thursday – rain or shine – at 7 p.m. and minister in the downtown area until 9 p.m.

Help Spread the Good News

When the pandemic struck, God gave the directors of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Alberta and Saskatchewan wisdom for how to reach children this summer in ways other than their traditional 5-Day Clubs. This year, they are partnering with UB David and I’ll B Jonathan to reach every household in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the North West Territories with the Gospel.

Their “Sponsor a Mailbox” program is seeking to place two lessons in every mailbox in these regions – one adult lesson and one child’s lesson – at a cost of just $0.60 per household. Plus, it will present an opportunity to enrol in the David and Jonathan program to receive more Bible lessons through the mail.

With schools being closed, children are hungry for the lesson resources this ministry provides. Consider being a part of spreading the Good News across our region.

Seize the Day

Each one-hour session will provide training and tools to share our testimony effectively, introduce people to Jesus Christ, and provide encouragement during this time of physical distancing. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Good News Chapel Needs Our Support

good-news-chapel-logoThe Good News Chapel ministers to the outcast, unloved and rejected people in North Central Regina.

Although they are unable to have their regular church services, they are continuing to provide food to the poor on Sundays by providing bagged lunches to those who come by the building, as well as delivering to those who phone the church. They are currently providing food to 100 people each week, but that number could increase as the COVID-19 crisis continues, and as people hear of this service.

How to help:

  • Please consider financially supporting this ministry. Fresh food is purchased weekly to prevent waste, and the cost is higher for bagged lunches than the regular meals. Donations can be made by mailing a cheque for Good News Chapel to P.O. Box 4011 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3R9, or online at goodnewschapel.ca.
  • Donations of non-perishable food will still be gratefully accepted.
  • Help serve food. If you would like to be a part of the food distribution outside of Indigenous Christian Fellowship, call Aaron at 306-526-9630.

In past years, the offering collected at the REMA Good Friday service has gone to support The Caring Place. This year, without this offering, The Caring Place will be missing a large portion of their annual funding.

springing forward banquetThe Arabic Alliance of Canada invites you to come out and hear guest speaker Bob Khan share his story of growing up in a Muslim family in Trinidad before immigrating to Canada and coming to faith in Jesus.

The evening will also feature special music, a ministry update, and reports from their missionaries.
