The Glen Elm Church of Christ is again facilitating the Regina Christmas Wish List – an opportunity for  citizens of Regina to express care and compassion during the Christmas season. The first batch of stories has been posted, and many more are sure to be added in the days ahead. Partners include Good News Chapel, Family Service Regina (Shirley Schneider Centre), Street Culture Program, and more. Check out their partner pages on the RCWL website to learn more.

The project works like this:

  • Local organizations, working with the impoverished and marginalized of our city, identify individuals and families within their circles, and create concise stories which are posted to the website.
  • Caring citizens read these stories, pledge gifts, and purchase the items they have pledged (new items only), which they then deliver to Glen Elm Church of Christ (1825 Rothwell St., Regina) by 8 p.m. on December 18.
  • The gifts are forwarded on to the partnering organizations, who place them in the hands of the clients they identified.
  • Everyone has a merrier Christmas!

This year’s drop-off days are December 15-18.

Praise in the Park 2025

praise in the park

On Saturday, August 16, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., Praise in the Park returns to the Wascana Park Bandstand. There will be a Missions Fair, free events for children, free food, a prayer tent, plus worship by local supporting bands. This year’s headliner will be Regina’s own Corey Lueck.

This event is sponsored by church organizations, the Regina business community and individuals with a heart to see the Lord worshipped in our city. They need our support to make this event a success. Please consider volunteering and/or making a financial contribution. For more information about how you can get involved, please email reginapraiseinthepark@gmail.com.

Visit their FaceBook page for more information about the event.

Ministry Opportunity

Chosen People Ministries is a Toronto-based ministry which focuses on evangelism and outreach to Jewish communities, teaching that Jesus is the Messiah who was promised in the Old Testament. They send missionaries to local churches in Canada to equip congregations for this mission.

Their missionary, Marcello, is planning to travel around Saskatchewan from April 20th-27th of 2025. He would be perfect to fill in for a Sunday speaker, or teach at a Bible study group midweek. He is a gifted evangelist. One area that he particularly enjoys is teaching about the Passover.

If you would like him to come visit and speak at your church, please let Sebastian know by emailing him.

Hope Together This Christmas

UCB logoThis Christmas, UCB Radio (95.9FM here in Regina) is hosting the Hope Together This Christmas campaign. They’re coming together to bless Canadian families who are facing tough times this holiday season, and showing the love of Jesus in action. They’d like to ask you to consider partnering with them – even a small gift of $10 can make a big difference in someone’s life and help bring hope and joy (and meals and winter clothes) to those who need it most. Your generosity will go a long way in making this season brighter for local families in need. They need YOUR help do this. Will you partner with UCB and make a real impact in someone’s life today?

Good News Chapel Needs Our Support

gnc vanThe Good News Chapel ministers to the outcast, unloved and rejected people in North Central Regina. Additionally, they currently hold services at the Muskowekwan Band Hall on the second and fourth Saturday each month.

They recently had to spend over $6000 in repairs on the church van (pictured). This van is used extensively to transport the children and youth to events, minister to the needs of those in North Central, and transport the team to Muskowekwan First Nation.

If you are able to help cover some of the costs of both these repairs and the ongoing fuel and maintenance needs, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made by mailing a cheque for Good News Chapel to P.O. Box 4011 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3R9, or online at goodnewschapel.ca.
